NFL Carrier:
2006:
• Played in 16 games with 14 starts at defensive end as a rookie, recording 50 tackles and one sack. Did not start vs. Philadelphia (9-24) or at New Orleans (12-3) when team opened in a 3-4 set.
• Made first NFL start at defensive tackle at Arizona (9-10) and posted two solo tackles.
• Started at right defensive end vs. Oakland (10-8) and posted three tackles while also recovering a fumble for his first career touchdown. His touchdown came off a fumble return in fourth quarter when he picked up a loose football on a muffed forward lateral and ran 12 yards into end zone. Became the first 49ers rookie defensive lineman to ever score a touchdown.
• Started at right defensive end at Denver (12-31) and finished with four tackles and his first career sack.
College
• Played in 52 games with 24 starts for LSU, finishing career with 20 sacks, which ties as the fourth-highest total in school history.
• As a senior, led all Tiger defensive linemen with 67 tackles and nine sacks in 13 starts.
• Capped career with Tigers by being named Defensive MVP of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl after recording five tackles and one sack in the 40-3 LSU win.
• Named LSU's Defensive MVP by the media at Capital One Bowl after intercepting a pass and returning it 27 yards in first quarter as a junior.
• Tallied four tackles and one sack in Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma as a sophomore, while also breaking up a pass in 21-14 win over Sooners.

High School
Outstanding pass rusher that helped Opelika (AL) High School to an 11-2 overall mark as squad was No. 1 rated defense in Alabama and ranked first in state in points allowed per game. Registered 80 tackles, including 16 for loss, and had 14 sacks with one fumble recovery.
